Who is Esu?
Many think that Elegua is bad. However, within traditional Yoruba culture, he is the only Orisha who never betrayed Orunmila and he is the one who changes bad luck into good luck. He is also the one who collects customers for the market and is the one who eliminates the catastrophe or difficulties in our lives.
He is the Orisha who has the ability to disturb a person without them finding out and who has thousands of medicines to grant their wishes to the person who makes the sacrifice. He is the Orisha who made a friendship pact with Orunmila, in which Elegua would get everything Orunmila wanted and Orunmila promised to constantly make sacrifices to him.

The person who wishes to be initiated into Eshu must, first of all, acquire knowledge of this Orisha.
